Solved I cant restore all default Windows fonts

Hey all.
I was trying to see if I could find some fonts that are better. I tried this tweak and this application.
Results :
1) Windows default font didnt change.
2) Some fonts at some apps were broken (see ??????? , @@@@@@..)

After these i restore all fonts at default.
All looks OK (i dont have open all apps yet) , with the excetion of My Phone Explorer app :

-note the "destroyed" font is the "Menu" font of the utility. Not all Greek fonts have problem as seen at the screenshot.
I think something is broken in registry at default Windows fonts.

What i want to try :
1) I need from the system a user who has never changed any default font, to give me 2 registry keys:
-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes

Any other proposal is welcome.

Just to confirm, did you try option two in the same tutorial below to restore the default fonts? It includes those two registry keys.

If this was done recently, you could check to see if you have a restore point dated before this change available to undo it with.

1) I merged the defaults registry settings with your file
2) I merged the default HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics , settings
3) I load all fonts defaults as abactuon suggested.
4) I restart the system.

Results :
1) The utility is not crashes now after each setting
2) Like before all looks OK with the exception of the My Phone Explorer utility
3) Still when i try to change the default Windows font (to Arial Bold) i see no changes
4) I noted that the names of the fonts are the same. E.g Arial named Arial , and Arial Bold named ....... Arial :

Is that right ? I note that i tried Arial Bold as the default Windows font.

That would just be the font family name. You'll want to use the name as it appears like below.

Odd. Are you looking at them in the "C:\Windows\Fonts" folder using large icons view in File Explorer?

Generally , my Greek language pack (was the default) , it was corrupted.

The details of the problem:

1) The Windows installation was done with Greek ISO and US English was added as a 2nd language

2) As long as the Advanced System Font Changer application was not used, there was no problem, but the tweak that changes the default Windows font did not work.

3) After simultaneous tests with the fonts with the tweak and the application, the problem started.

The solution:

I made the working assumption that the Windows fonts have a problem.

So I tried to find a way to fix them without reinstalling Windows so as not to lose my work.

1) I installed a 3rd language, UK English

2) I uninstalled Greek and US English

3) I rebooted

4) I installed Greek as a 2nd language

5) I rebooted

6) I confirmed that in the Control Panel settings, "the language for programs that do not support Unicode", was Greek
(its advised from My Phone Explorer forum by its programmer , thx).
But while the issue appears , it also the same (Greek).

7) I rebooted

8) The problem had stopped but US English was displayed as a 3rd language while it was not installed. A common problem that was solved with the usual registry change (preload key) and Office settings , and the heavy key for switch the languages didnt work.

9) I uninstalled English UK

10) I rebooted

11) I installed English US

12) I rebooted

13) In the Regional settings of the Control Panel, I did "Copy Settings" "for the welcome screen" and "new users"

14) I rebooted

This way both the 2 original languages were deleted, and they were reinstalled.

So I now had English US and Greek as originally.

There is no longer any problem:

1) Greek is displayed in all applications correctly

2) There is no 3rd language

3) Gravity (~) works for language switching (only with English US , English UK not)

4) Also, changes I had made with the application and could not restore to defaults were restored to defaults.

Conclusion: After testing with fonts, the Windows fonts were corrupted.

I would recommend not using the application.
