Like my own warning, proceed at own risk. I have taken a disliking to Bob is oil guy cause I posted some chatgpt comment about comparing two oil products and got multiple warnings after one warning not to post any AI generated content. One warning would have been sufficient! Like you get a message saying your post was deleted, ok. Then you get more warnings written more threateningly about the same deleted content without posting any more AI content.
Vindictive in the extreme.

There ought to be a way to do that, as a reminder.

Firstly, you could respect forum rules
Secondly, you could block it in your hosts file

...you could block it in your hosts file
Long time ago I used that method. But the problem is, that the blocked site will not be reached nad no message appears why it was blocked. There is no difference between a not-existant site and a blocked site. Which sometimes is rather confusing.

Now I use this web-extension in my browser: Block Site
I use it in Firefox, but it certainly will function as well in Chrome or Edge and other browsers that have web-extensions enabled.
You can just block a site, so that a message will be shown if you click a link to that site. Message is one of your choice or none at all.
But alteratively you can redirect the site to another URL as you specified in the settings.

Use is much more user-friendly than the use of the hosts file.

But for other purposes, like blocking datatransfers to unwanted adresses, the hosts file is much more useful.

It works! Like it in Edge
Can you block more than one site with it?

Forum rules?? I did not know about AI content, and the mods did not have to post a warning multiple times to me for the same post days apart.

Sorry, but I don't understand why you're complaining about that here!

But in this forum, AI answers are not appreciated too!

Not in the slightest, But with it blocked it reminds me of why I blocked them.
And I like my ability to block them, I have better things to do.
That was NOT the first time some of their admins deleted my posts.
The site is heavy handed, and arbitrary.

I only block sites, where I could land by accident, for instance because some search result (repeatedly) leads me to that site.

Site that I don't want to visit, I simply do not click them in the first place. And if in the past I did post answers on that site, I still will not visit that site if I don't like it anymore. No need at all for any blocking tool!

I think you'd better consider the same tactics in stead of complaining about some site members here do not know at all, because it is a very specialised site. You bet that members here will not be able to influence the owner or moderator(s) of that other site to do what you would like them to do.

People make comments about me, on this thread, so I feel like I should explain myself.
Another thing is, I had not visited that site for several years, so it was not in my conscious mind why I stopped going there. If it is blocked, then I am reminded why I blocked it.

First time some of my posts there got deleted was I was discussing adding vegetable based oils (Canola etc) in diesel fuels, and some admin did not like the idea. Even though I was bringing in established research showing the benefits to the fuel system. And once you're on their list, you are viewed as troublesome to them.
