"If you shut down now, you could lose unsaved work" even though not logged in

When I first turn on any of my Windows 11 PCs, they show the lock screen.

However, if I click on the Power icon then click 'Shut down', I get a dialogue stating:

If you shut down now, you and any other people using this PC could lose unsaved work.

Why does this appear, even though no one is logged in?

I get that as well and I continued to shutdown without issue, but if you are not the only user like I am, there may be some issues. 🤷‍♂️

I myself have two Windows 11 machines, one with one user and one with four users, and the message appears on both.

But it happens on almost all Windows 11 machines I have personally seen.

Is there a problem if you do it on the one with Four users? I really don't think it will do anything. I also have the Lock Screen turned off, but if I sign out and then shutdown, I get that MSG.

This appears if you have shared folders or printer and Windows cannot tell if a remote computer is using them, so it warns you that if you shutdown someone could lose data (if he has an open file not yet saved).

Many of the computers I have experienced this with have not had shared folders created by the user.

Perhaps the OS has shared some folders by default?
