WIN11
Hello,

fresh installed WIN11 again,

now I see this:

Which just means "Indexing was turned off", but what does that mean?

Every app I search for is instantly showing up, but seeing this message is annoying.

Checking the indexing options, it seems it finished:

Which means "Indexing was completed".

So, how do I get rid of the message?

I get the "Indexing was turned off" message also. But that's because I turned it off, or disabled it. It kept on turning on randomly causing my disk usage to go to 100%, making the fans turn on, and bogging down the whole computer. I tried killing it off in the Task Manager, but it kept restarting. I seldom use the search and it seems to work fine without it running.

To turn it off I used "Windows +R" and than ran "services.msc". I then selected "Windows Search" and "properties". I set "Startup Type" to "disabled". The same procedure can be used to turn it on again. The search operation has never bothered me again.
