Intel(R) Innovation Platform Framework

Had my Win 11 running for some time now and no problems.

While searching for drivers for my Win 10 system i came across:

Chipset
Intel(R) Innovation Platform Framework

Never installed this on Win 11, Now i'm not sure if i need it on Win 11 And Win 10.

The only drivers i've installed on Win 11 is:

Graphics card
Sound card
Ethernet

I have an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 system running Windows 11, and I haven't installed the Intel Innovation Platform Framework separately.
Intel's IPF release notes say that systems with 14th Gen or older processors should not download the IPF package. Based on that, I wouldn't install it unless Intel XTU or the system manufacturer specifically requires it.

The best thing to do, is to download and install the Intel Driver and Support Assistant. It will identify any drivers that require updating for any of the Intel hardware on your system. I have used it successfully for several years.

I also use CCleaner (paid for version) which has found several other Intel drivers which I have updated with no issues. I get it, some folks do not like updating drivers with various claims about how there's no need to update them, or if things work, leave them be. Personal choice at the end of the day.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check Intel Driver & Support Assistant and see what it recommends for my system rather than installing the IPF package manually.
