intel system update may have caused usb to not be rejected

Hello there,

It's been three days now since usb hdd won't reject. Tried almost every solution I found on google except for process explorer app or something like that.

I checked windows update and found that last installed update was intel system 2517.8.1.0, not sure it's the trouble maker though.

Still on up-to-date windows11 2024, haven't moved to 2025 yet.

Please help as I have important stuff on that usb drive. Many thanks in advance.

Until you have an answer just power down your PC and then unplug it.
