This is a little bit of a rant. My apologies, but I was so livid that I had to vent somewhere. 
Had a laptop die, won't even power on. This happened once when I had possession of the machine for less than a week. It was replaced with a new unit as being DOA.
Now, 2 years later, same thing happened. I have extended premier on-site service so a tech came to repair it today. New motherborad and other parts, still unable to fix. That I have no problem with because he may have simply had a bad part and there is nothing that could be done about that.
Now, I want to show 2 photos. The first is of the underside of the laptop. This just shows how pristine I keep my gear. Note how even the rubber bumpers are barely scuffed. In fact, the tech commented that the machine looked brand new when he first sat down.
The lid to the machine was every bit as clean (I am crazy about keeping my gear clean), but look at how he left it...
Bear in mind that every last bit of that is the Tech's doing. I had NOT ONE SCRATCH or nick anywhere on this machine. The ever so slight scuffs on the rubbers are literally the only way to tell that this is not brand new. Even the keyboard and screen are pristine. It's a good thing I only saw that after he left because I might have said things I would later regret otherwise.
Just to be fair: This was not Lenovo themselves. They contract with companies to do the actual service work. In fact, Lenovo was very understanding when I talked to them and sent photos.
