Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 11 Build 22000.829 (KB5015882) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11 (original release).

This update includes the following improvements:
  • New! We provided the ability for you to consent to receive urgent notifications when focus assist is on.
  • New! We provided the option for eligible devices to update to a newer Windows 11 version during the out-of-box experience (OOBE) when you first sign in. If you choose to update to a newer version, the update process will begin shortly after the update is installed on the device.
  • New! We restored functionality for Windows Autopilot deployment scenarios that are affected by the security mitigation for hardware reuse. This update removed the one-time use restriction for self-deploying mode (SDM) and pre-provisioning (PP). This update also re-enabled any User Principal Name (UPN) display in user-driven mode (UDM) deployments for approved manufacturers.
  • We fixed an issue in UIAutomation() that causes an application to stop working.
  • We fixed an issue that prevents the Startup Task API from working as expected for certain apps.
  • We improved the reliability of a push-button reset after an OS upgrade.
  • We fixed an issue that makes the tenant restrictions event logging channel inaccessible if you remove the EN-US language pack.
  • We fixed an issue that causes certificate-based machine account authentication to fail in some circumstances after you install the May 10, 2022 security updates on domain controllers.
  • We fixed an issue that affects the Arm64EC code you build using the Windows 11 software development kit (SDK).
  • We updated the Remove-Item cmdlet to properly interact with Microsoft OneDrive folders.
  • We fixed an issue that prevents certain troubleshooting tools from opening.
  • We fixed an issue that causes port mapping conflicts for containers.
  • We fixed an issue that causes Code Integrity to continue trusting a file after the file has been modified.
  • We fixed an issue that might cause Windows to stop working when you enable Windows Defender Application Control with the Intelligent Security Graph feature turned on.
  • We deployed search highlights to devices. To access the policy for search highlights (on a device that has installed the June 2022 Cumulative Update Preview or July 2022 monthly quality update), go to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions and locate admx. For your convenience, we will be publishing an updated version of the Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 11, version 21H2 to the Microsoft Download Center soon.
  • We fixed an issue that causes exe to stop working when you use the play and pause keyboard buttons on certain devices.
  • We fixed an issue that causes exe to stop working when you use the Start menu’s context menu (Win + X) and an external monitor is connected to your device.
  • We fixed an issue that displays a blank window that you cannot close when you hover over the search icon on the taskbar.
  • We reduced the overhead of resource contention in high input/output operations per second (IOPS) scenarios that have many threads contending on a single file.
  • We fixed an issue that causes the Windows profile service to fail sporadically. The failure might occur when signing in. The error message is, “gpsvc service failed to sign in. Access denied”.

Known issue:​

  • On some devices, Widgets may crash in the background upon logging in and show the static default icon instead of populating and updating to show the weather.

There are so many different testing avenues that users are starting to back off from restoring testing restoring and so on. In my case, I stopped because since Win 22H2 versions, I have been loosing access to my One Drive files when I restore to latest version. Deleting and restoring access to 350 gigs of files is not a 5 minute task o_O So I'm not really surprised that not a lot of users are running to get this version.

I'm trying to pin point what could be affecting One Drive sync issues but I can't seem to find it for the moment. :cautious:

I installed This update because it's the same base version so restoring will not affect my One Drive files.

So far, all seems good. ;-)

I hear and see the Note's here we can help each other if it's not here have a pro show us how As I sahre some of My Thought's with Brink ,,,since he furst started this page since way back lol in all we comto to the Conclution MS is just the OS System they don't own you're PC except you...The Missconcetion that went around for a while that MS..own they Don't they just sell the OS Systems to the manuufacture you Buy you're systems from them .. Go it ... that said id Brink's team can't find I have a few back up sources lol but alway's willing to share what works the Miscrosoft won't tell us lolol:)and let's be fair to one another ,,they systems won't fix them self Unless we take care of them ...

Too many different updates popping up in RP, Beta and Dev. Users either have to restore (like I do and I'm getting serious One Drive issues) or they clean install which takes time and yes you have those on VM ware but still, you have to install.

So, I suppose those who like better the up and coming aren't really attracted by the current version which seems to work fine for most of the general population even if a lot of bugs are fixed.

My 2 cents. :)

The Only issue we have when I do this other have this problems as indicated when you Do just the "IN-PLACE" and have all the update's just Changing the Verion and feature -Package- MS Need's to RESETTING everything EG: Services -Settung etc Back to Default -And please Stop Changing the Work Around Fixe's-In Reg-Edit - cause I as soon as i ad this new one I have to go in an reset High Disk Used with All those setting's I showed Brink lol.........And in Place should Not Touch what I just Mentioned . MS leave them "ALONE"...then we might have a a Good system again lol Will get Into Windows 12 When I Hear More don't even get me Started ....lol

Sounds good, and plausible, too. Lot of updates are coming lately. I am also trying to keep up with Windows 10. So, lots of updates with which to contend. Sorry you're still having problems with the OneDrive. I haven't had any issues with OneDrive. :)

I really don't understand what the issue is. I never had this problem before. It's not a new account either and nothing has been modified or added in a long time. So, I suspect that with 22h2 MS has made some code changes which is affecting something when you restore to an older version.

I'm, posting my issues on Insider but I suspect that it could be a tweak that I am using or have been using since Win 10 because I'm pretty much by myself reporting it. My next tests will be no tweaks when I upgrade and restore to current just to see if I can pinpoint the problem.

That also is a reason why I'm less inclined to play around with version upgrades. :oops:

I agree when there's nothing wrong and you're computer's working no ussless some are a waist to get . should Have Not told you yu keep nothing in a in place,

I had to Tell Windows love <------- there one think's it's funny and if screws up you're that person disables there chat reponce i reported them to to block or remove them .

they sit and play video games all day don't have regular 9-5 real jobs but some get paid for miss information and you tube allows this
