The August 25, 2022 update for Windows 11 includes cumulative reliability improvements in .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8. We recommend that you apply this update as part of your regular maintenance routines. Before you install this update, see the Prerequisites and Restart requirement sections.

Summary​

Security improvements

There are no new security improvements in this release. This update is cumulative and contains all previously released security improvements.

Quality and reliability improvements

Runtime- Addresses an issue regarding integer overflow exception in System.Windows.Forms.InputLanguage class.

Known issues in this update​

Microsoft is not currently aware of any issues in this update.

Because the update is only for 21H2* - 22000 series (AFAIK Updates for later series aren't yet available via the Update Catalog)

There is no 22H1. There will be no more --H1's.
Non-Insiders are currently on 21H2, and the next Feature Update will be 22H2. Then 23H2, etc.
Insiders, are already on 22H2. The non-Insiders will get the 22H2 Feature Update... Sept. 20, I believe.

You're on an Insider build. You probably already have this .NET update.
And... it's probably not the same KB number for you.

When you're in Windows 11 News, you want to look at the BLUE updates rather than the PURPLE updates.

Also... to sort the updates in Windows 11 News... just click on whatever color group you belong to, and that will remove all other colored icons and only show yours.

Like if I click on the PURPLE icon, I would then only see the purple topics. If you click on the BLUE icon, you would then only see the blue topics... etc.

It was a hidden game of "Knight's Tour".

It was really easy to miss. The only way to play the game was to click on that tiny binoculars icon.
If I recall, version 1.6.2 was the last of the good versions, and that was back in January 2009.
You can tell by the file sizes... when Spybot S&D died the "bloat" death.
Same thing happened to Zonealarm Free Firewall also...

I like reading these threads even though 99% of Windows-11 and .NET framework updates don't do anything from my point of view. My computers run fine both before and after all the updates. Not like 10 years ago, when I'd hold my breath, LOL.

But then again, I don't do much to tax my computers either. Just reading, posting to forums, watching an occasional video, etc.
