I wonder how many on Beta 22622 realise it is beyond RTM 22621 due to be released in next few weeks? Unless I am mistaken, they will not be able to leave Insider Version at next RTM release.
I've been pondering this for a long time - then finally had the 'light-bulb' moment and realised that all you have to do is uninstall the Enablement Package!

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

It's *likely* to be 22621 but there's nothing stopping MS releasing a day-one patch to 22622, or this could happen a few months later

As the change is made by "enablement" (the newer stuff is already installed, just not enabled), it doesn't appear to be a matter for great concern.

That is exactly why I'm asking, especially as preview and beta can be on 22621 or 22622, we won't know for definite until after it's released. Will 22622 get stuck in no man's land or will it be the first and immediate update to 22621, given the difference is just apparently the enablement package why have it if it's not going to get used?

Windows 11, version 22H2 certification build

Minimum acceptable build for Windows 11, version 22H2 certification is RTM build(i.e. 22621).
Minimum being the key word, IMO this is aimed at hardware manufactures not what is going to appear on Windows update.

Minimum being the key word, IMO this is aimed at hardware manufactures not what is going to appear on Windows update.
'Minimum' here seems to be referring to the minor build revision number, not the major 22621 build. I understand it was 22621.1 that MS released for certification by OEMs.

The way it went with 22000 was that 22000.9 was the certification build released to manufacturers. In fact some OEM supplied it as the installed OS on their initial Windows 11 products, the Microsoft Surface included. See:

Windows 11 22H2 (Sun Valley 2) RTM build 22621 general availability after Sept. 5, 2022 - post #74.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop.

Good for you. Never was offered this build (.457) via WU and don't really like to use UUDump unless I have to.
