Nothing official on this from Microsoft.

Currently, 24H2 is only officially available on Copilot+ PCs and Insider Release Preview channel.

I would highly recommend to not manually install this update if it doesn't show up via Windows Update.

Sounds like a bug from WU's servers. Why would MS offer 26100.863, when .1252 is the Preview ISO available to everyone?

Before I saw Brink's warning, I went ahead and downloaded the x64 update....but it didn't install. Got an "Update not compatible with my computer" message then it stopped.

22H2 & 23H2 are basically the same Windows, so you can install two KB updates (latest Monthly CU + 23H2 Enablement Package) to update 22H2 -> 23H2.

24H2 is a different OS, it requires an in-place full upgrade (not an update). No way can a single KB update get you to 24H2.

Steven Parker has a weird Update history. His PC installed the May 2024 CU for 24H2 on June 11, 2024. Which means he's been running 24H2 since June.

I'll admit i got a bit excited seeing that article eariler on Neowin, but i was smart and immediately connected backup drive, then when that was done--checked Windows Update

*Nothing for my Ryzen 7 7700X Gaming Desktop** So gonna leave alone and wait

Besides read another article that Movies & TV app that i use is going away with 24H2, what happens to all the shows i bought, movies and such? will it be reinstallable via the store still?

Nah I just used that app since it came out

They probably are streamed i would guess, not phyiscally on the Desktop here that i can see
Bought all those with MS Bing Rewards over the years

I might be panicing over nothing once again, or believing an article that i don't even know if true or false yet lol

Anyways in any case looking forward to 24H2 when offically released

No sign of 24H2 on Windows update here on Ryzen 7 7700X, so don't think offically out today myself lol.

i gotta learn to relax more, and not panic so much
