Insider KB5065426 Windows 11 Insider Release Preview build 26200.6584 (25H2) - Sep. 9

UPDATE 9/12:

 Microsoft Support:

Hello Windows Insiders!

Today, we are making this year’s annual feature update Windows 11, version 25H2 (Build 26200.5074) available in the Release Preview Channel for customers to preview ahead of general availability later this calendar year.

Windows 11, version 25H2 will be delivered as an enablement package (eKB). This means that Windows 11, version 24H2 and version 25H2 use a shared servicing branch. It also means that they also share the same new features and enhancements delivered through our continuous innovation efforts. Windows 11, version 25H2 also includes some feature removals such as PowerShell 2.0 and Windows Management Instrumentation command-line (WMIC). And for our commercial customers, Windows 11, version 25H2 includes the ability for IT admins to remove select pre-installed Microsoft Store apps via Group Policy/MDM CSP on Enterprise/EDU devices. For more details on Windows 11, version 25H2, see this blog post.

Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel can install Windows 11, version 25H2 via our “seeker” experience in Windows Update. This means if you are an Insider currently in the Release Preview Channel on a PC that meets the Windows 11 hardware requirements, you can go to Settings and Windows Update and choose to download and install Windows 11, version 25H2 if you want. Once you update your PC to Windows 11, version 25H2, you will continue to automatically receive new servicing updates through Windows Update (the typical monthly update process). For instructions on how to join the Windows Insider Program and join your PC to the Release Preview Channel, click here.

Commercial* customers enrolled in the Windows Insider Program for Business can begin validating Windows 11, version 25H2 on PCs in their organizations. For these customers, the Windows 11, version 25H2 is available through Windows Update for Business (WUfB) and Windows Server Update Service (WSUS). Azure Marketplace will be available later today. You can learn more about deploying pre-release feature updates using these deployment methods here. Should any issues arise, IT admins in organizations deploying Release Preview updates can request Microsoft Support.

And finally – ISOs will be available for download for Windows 11, version 25H2 via the Windows Insider ISO download page next week. [UPDATE 9/10] The ISOs for Windows 11, version 25H2 are now available for download.

Thanks,
Windows Insider Program Team

Well, I don't know. But I trust @phantomofearth. And it worked for me with two IDs.

Well, it works, but you don't have the new UAC that asks for the PIN to authenticate the request.
Seems like the feature is only enabled partially.
With the full CFR key package installed, I get also the new UAC asking for authentication.

Vivetool or Windows 11 RP? Which are we testing here? Seems like when Windows 11 RP has addons it is no longer Windows RP that is being tested.

48433719 (Vivetool ID) = 1853569164 (CFR Registry Key)

F.Y.I.
I think I found the other id that is required to enable [48433719] (vivetool ID, UxAccOptimization) = 1853569164 (CFR Registry Key)
It requires this other ID [49453572] (Vivetool ID, Standalone_Future) = 156965516 (CFR Registry Key)

What do you think?

Here is what is shows if I enable both the IDs with vivetool, it also creates these 2 CFR Keys. 😉
If the 1st ID is disabled, it also shows the 2nd one disabled.
If the 1st ID is reset, it shows both disabled in the ImageDefault (0)

Too complicated, when it is enabled with the whole CFR pack, I cannot even disable it. 😂

I use the registry only for testing the function, so you can directly delete the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides\14" registry to restore to the default value.

This CFR is also included in my registry file. It looks like it does need this key to unlock. Perhaps, in future OS Build updates there may be additional keys to hook this key.

I know you have that CFR, it is included in the Enablement Package downloaded from github.

It sure took a long time to isolate which key and/or vivetool ID is needed as a corequisite to enable the other one.
Why are the guys at Microsoft making things so secretive?
They should publish the functions of all these CFR keys so that the insiders could test their silly experiments properly.
This whole CFR system is pretty ridiculous and inefficient, and we never know what to expect.
Never a consistent result.
Just a waste of time testing unknown MS experiments. It just sucks! 😝🤬🤷‍♂️

Interesting that on this other machine MS enabled that ID 49453572 with Priority : ImageOverride (15)
So, they could also enable 48433719 without any restriction. 😂🤷‍♂️

This machine also has the "Administrator Protection" enabled by MS with these other 2 IDs showing at the bottom. 😉
