Changes and improvements​

[Smart card removal policy]​

  • Administrators can now configure Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 sessions that use Microsoft Entra ID (RDS AAD Auth) authentication to automatically disconnect when a redirected smart card is removed. This extends smart card removal policy enforcement to Microsoft Entra authenticated remote sessions, helping organizations meet security and compliance requirements.

[File Explorer]​

  • Fixed an issue where the OneDrive shortcut in File Explorer stops working when File Explorer is run in administrator mode.

[Taskbar]​

  • Improved reliability of loading the system tray area of the taskbar.

[Sounds]​

  • Improved system sounds when using Windows in dark mode.

Reminders for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel​

  • Updates are based on Windows 11, version 25H2 via an enablement package (Build 26220.8754).
  • The desktop watermark shown at the lower right corner of the desktop is normal for Windows Insider pre-release builds.
  • Features and experiences included in these builds might never get released as we try out different concepts and get feedback. Features might change over time, be removed, or replaced and never get released beyond Windows Insiders. Some of these features and experiences could show up in future Windows releases when they're ready.
  • Some features in active development we preview with Windows Insiders might not be fully localized, and localization will happen over time as features are finalized. As you see issues with localization in your language, please report those issues to us via Feedback Hub.

I had to go for 4 years old, analog Realtec drivers with Nahimic, instead of MS Universal driver.

Yes, mine is slow to start too. I log in and see that, after a 60+ second wait, not all Startup Apps have finished loading. I don't have many Startup Apps, so Windows is slow getting to them.

For many years now, I've had random success with Realtek drivers. Some are really buggy. Particularily troublesome has been WiFi and BT drivers. Switched to Intel card and problem was solved. This may be related to Realtek having many different variations of same chips, where some models get detected wrong or something.

I doubt this is an MS issue, but one never know, since on Linux the issue does not or rarely exist. Possible some Windows service confuse the drivers with wrong hardware reporting...

I have issues with my BT on MTK card. From time to time BT just disappears and i have to switch of the laptop, disconnect the charger and hold power button for 30secs to do battery remove and discharge like procedure. After that it works fine. So I bought INTEL Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750kit M.2 2230 Module. Only to find out that laptop wont post with that, and that it apparently works only with machines with intel CPU :unsure: :( :( :( . I am on AMD Ryzen 5 5600H. Anyone knows good card which will work with AMD? Doesnt have to be wifi 7, wifi 6 or 6E will be fine, but it needs to be capable of doing 1Gbs down on wifi 6.

These Realtek chips are CoDec sound chips, all they do is convert digital to analog and analog to digital signal and not influence sound much. It's analog part on the MB that are most important. That has nothing to do with network, WiFi and BT. Raeltek CoDec chips are ubiquitous and on most motherboards as well independent devices. One of problems is that few years ago Realtek stopped releasing drivers to general public and you can get them only by 3rd party like MB or device manufacturers and MS just Universal sound drivers with very little control over sound. If you want better control of sound, there are 3rd party APPs but most charge for them. Nahimic is free and comes with real Realtek drivers.

Nothing to do with AMD, My last Asus B550 Ryzen MB had Intel network and WiFi/BT built in. That M.2 socket may not be compatible if it's not specifically made for other than SSD. which could be SATA or PCIe/NVME drives. You'll have to check with laptop's manufacturer for compatible module and drivers.
You should check here, Latest Intel Killer Ethernet and Wireless Drivers for Windows 11 some "Killer" drivers may cause troubles.

It has everything to do with AMD. Intel Killer WiFi adapters are known to have issues on AMD platforms.

I have an Intel AC9260 card in my AMD Laptop. Works flawlessly. AX200 and AX210 should also work really well. AX210 used to have some issues at some point, but I think Intel solved the issue. Intel BE200 will not work properly on AMD platforms, so avoid that.

Yeah i have been looking into it and AX210 or AX200 should work. I was also thinking about Qualcomm QCNFA765 wifi 6E (Found one even with HP part number printed on it) €21 with free postage. Or QCNFA865 wifi 7. Do you thing they will work with AMD Ryzen 5600H (HP Victus 15)?
