OS
Windows 11
I recently installed Windows 11 (fresh install) on my HP 640 Pro G1 laptop. Everything works fine except when I shutdown en boot up again, my Notebook keyboard doesn't work. After a Restart it works again.

IF I shutdown by a selfcreated shutdown-shortcut on my desktop (%systemroot%\system32\shutdown.exe /s /t 0) there is nog problem in that regard. Only when i shutdown thru the Windows StartMenu the problem occurs.

Anyone had this problem ever?

Welcome to the forum. I would troubleshoot it this way, testing after each step.

Perform a clean boot to eliminate software conflict causing the issue. If it doesn't happen in a clean boot, you have some software conflicting with Windows. Brink's procedure will help you weed out which one. Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 11 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts Tutorial

Make sure you have no corrupt system files that is causing this problem. Open a command prompt as administrator and type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
When complete restart. Then open command prompt as admin again and run sfc /scannow
Pay attention to the scan results to see if SFC found anything it could not repair

If it still happens, I would suggest creating a new LOCAL account to test with. Restart and log in to the new account. If the issue does not happen using the new account, it is not a windows issue but some corruption in your user account.

Please check if FastStartup is enabled in Windows. Disable it and check if your issue is resolved.

The easiest way is to check the registry key: Bilgisayar\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power

if HiberbootEnabled dword value is 1, then fast Startup is enabled. Make it 0 and then test.
