Laptop Setup- Win 11- MS Account- Can it be Removed?

Maybe I am a masochist but I am persevering with 24H2 (after all it has the mega change "all"). In the end, its bugs do not really affect my use of pc.

It’s an expectation of seeing something correct itself with updates. I understand keeping it installed.
I just have work to do currently and found it causing too much lag.
Restoring a 23H2 image fixed it immediately.

I think my 2014 built workhorse is getting close to end of days.


Also, to any geeks who thought I insulted them.

I consider the term to be mildy offensive. I try an avoid use of terms like newbies for same reason (I always say beginners).

If you want no connection to onedrive, you can also create a local user in this way> if you have already set up the laptop with a MS account.
This account will have no connection to Onedrive.

Create a new local account in settings>accounts>other users. Change the account type and Make this user an administrator account.
The default folder location of the local account's user files will default to your system drive. C:\users|yourusername

If you have files in your MS account that you want to keep, copy them to an external drive
Restart and login into new local user .
Copy files into user folders.
Delete the MS user account . Settings>accounts>other users.

Note any files you have in onedriveunder this MS account will stay there until you go into Onedrive on the web and delete them.

Come on guys, Do some humming, say a chant, and calm....... It's just words and synonyms for the same things; all immaterial and nothing insulting about it either way.. According to Merrium-Websters:

newbie-a person who has recently started a particular activity : beginner, novice, newcomer

geek - an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity
....but also a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken or snake.
(I fall into that second description and I can tell you the feathers get in my teeth and the snake tastes like crap. )

Thanks everyone for input. I was not installing Win11. I think some people thought that?
Regardless, I followed the exact instructions from the video, and it all worked exactly as that video showed, straight forward and simple.

All the other methods I found that were posted as late as as fall 2023 and earlier, at least from a device with Windows pre-installed are no longer working due to MS's efforts.
