Yes its the older version 1996.. 6 cylinder engine and the 242 transmission etc. etc. So its the one that almost is bullet proof of all Grand Cherokee models.
Yeah.. real stud tyres is needed when its evil ice. I have some half mean stud tyres on mine.. they are on the edge to illegal as they have 2 millimeter studs instead of legal 1.6 millimeters
Yeah that's probably still built solid out of real steel.

Here's the problem with new cars, & I had the guy at the body shop tell me this when a squillel knocked something off the porch & caved in the R fender of the car.

Years back they found if you took the carbon out of the steel, it made it lighter. This makes the panels/ car parts much less strong. but, since the car is lighter, it gets better milage. So they can boast about that. Problem is the car parts are almost equal to aluminum. My Bumper is a piece of plastic for heavens sake.

Which explains why our car has 17 air bags in it.

As for the studs, I would think they won't be measuring them when/if they stop you. ;-)

Yeah the mileage suck on the jeep.. it is thirsty for real.. But as i have several cars, so i dont mind.. if i need to take a longer trip, i take my tiny Skoda that almost run on air in comparison to the Jeep. *LOL* 😅
Also that older cars often have thicker steal.. on old cars you can sit on the hood without problem.. new cars get a dent if you sit on the hood.
I have walked on my Jeeps roof when i needed to change fluorescent tubes in the roof in my garage.. i would never dare to do that on a modern car. *lol*

so true.. its only at the annual car inspection they really look at the tyres.. and then i have my summer tires on.. so I'm safe. :-)

Afternoon Borg.

Smoke comes and goes. Air is not that bad, hopefully they are getting rain on fires. Yesterday air was great, all dependent on the wind.

Thanks Bree I'll have to check. The set up was not good. 365 was not installed, onedrive wasn't connected, printer wasn't installed and the list goes on.
