  • A third-party data breach has impacted LastPass customers.
  • The breach exposed names, phone numbers, and other data.
  • No master passwords or password vaults were compromised.

Do you use LastPass as your password manager? If so, I got some bad news. Yes, another data breach, though this one occurred at one of the company's third-party suppliers.

Wow, fourth breach now since 2019? Anyone that uses LastPass just needs to dump it, it's blatantly obvious they don't take their end users information seriously, third party or not.

There are so many other password managers out there that don't have near the issues they have.

Call me old fashioned, but I keep as many passwords off the PC as possible. I have them written down in a notebook. Old school, but it still works for me.;-)

I use Bitwarden but only for misc site passwords, anything to do with banking or any personal stuff is kept offline.

I have them written down in a notebook.
You could use a cipher for security or a random book, like bible, so you could access them anywhere.
I keep core password locally, triple encrypted, backed up of course, but that does not make it easier.
Bitwarden keeps logging out each month and I do not know the password to a password manager.
Last time, I was out and I could not access anything, my accounts, my banks, I was locked out. 😓

I keep important master passwords in a secure ZIP file with AES-256 encryption. The password to that ZIP file is never written down and you ain't gonna' guess it in my lifetime! If I forget a master password, I have a backup that I can access on my phone, laptop, or main computer.
