Latest LibreOffice Version for Windows

LibreOffice is a powerful, free, and open-source office productivity suite developed by The Document Foundation. It was forked from OpenOffice.org in 2010 and has since become one of the most popular alternatives to proprietary office suites like Microsoft Office.
LibreOffice includes several applications that make it the most versatile free office suite on the market:
  • Writer: A word processor with extensive formatting and layout capabilities, similar to Microsoft Word.
  • Calc: A spreadsheet program that offers advanced data analysis, charting, and decision-making features, comparable to Microsoft Excel.
  • Impress: A presentation software that allows users to create multimedia presentations, akin to Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Draw: A vector graphics editor for creating diagrams, flowcharts, and other graphical content.
  • Base: A database management tool that integrates seamlessly with other LibreOffice applications.
  • Math: An application for creating and editing mathematical formulas.
LibreOffice uses the Open Document Format (ODF) as its native file format, which is an open standard widely adopted by governments and organizations worldwide. It also supports a wide range of other file formats, including those used by Microsoft Office, ensuring compatibility and ease of transition for users switching from other office suites

LibreOffice is available for multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is translated into over 120 languages, making it accessible to users around the globe

I'm still having huge issues with V25.

I deleted my earlier post from today as it was factually incorrect but I have tried again, this time uninstalling V24 first as a test (and cleaned registry manually of every LibreOffice entry as a test) and it is still no good.

By default the appearance opens to your system settings (dark mode in my case) but as soon as I alter it to white and then back to dark it seems permanently broken. Even a restart doesn't fix it.

In dark mode once it fails all text in cells change from 'white on black' to 'black on near black' although the first time the program was opened after install (and before you alter the appearance modes) it was white text on a black background.

Also when it fails I notice any text in red actually displays correctly on the spreadsheets while other cells with text and numbers appear 100% empty, just totally 100% black on black background. If you hover over a cell the correct info appears at the top line of the sheet so it still present, just not visible.

Also when in dark mode and you hover the cursor over the top of any of these options (V24 image below) on the toolbar they turn 100% white and remain so. So if you run the cursor over the toolbar each feature/option etc changes to a white featureless square.

Now back on V24 again (thanks Macrium)

So all these clickies such as undo, redo, print, clipboard etc etc turn white when that item is just hovered over and they do not return to normal.

Having done a bit of research it seems issues with 'Appearance' and dark mode are pretty widespread. So its not just me...

One way (untested by me) is to apparently reset it back to default by deleting the LibreOffice 'user profile' folder in %APPDATA% which is called "4"

As I'm back on V24 I will leave it be. Although it is claimed this resets things back to default (you lose any customisation, dictionaries etc) it doesn't fix the problem in that if you alter the appearance again it will break again.
