Canary builds are not supposed to be your daily driver.
And not everyone is getting the problem.
Use Feedback Hub. Whining here will not yield much result, although I doubt FH will either.

Possibly. It just started doing this with the last update, though. While it was spinning, I shut down edge and restarted it. It showed updated.
