Solved Latest Version of Thunderbird Supernova released


115.10.2 should be available to the general public tomorrow (03/05/2024).
The next major release will be TB 128 and it will probably be available in the next couple of months.

"Just a heads-up for Thunderbird Mail users: I've been reading a lot of Thunderbird documentation over the last few days, and I've come across several references to the planned release of Thunderbird 128, the first major update for Thunderbird 115. Looks as though it's tentatively planned for July 2024. I've tried to verify this, but so far have had no luck. It may not be anything more than a rumor. However, TB users who want to wait and see whether there are major problems in a brand new version would do well to back up their TB installation completely before the end of June, and set TB to NOT automatically update, before they get a surprise update around that time. I would guess that there will be a lot of online talk from the TB people and from users before the release happens (if it happens). There certainly was a lot of broohaha before the release of 115 (AKA "Supernova")."

I use TB SuperNova 115 (currently 115.01), as well as TB SuperNova Beta 126.0b2 and Thunderbird SuperNova Daily 127.0a1, so yeah, I can see how it will still be a while before Thunderbird Supernova Stable gets updated to v128, as it is not even in (public) alpha stage yet.

I've been on 115.10.1 for a while and it's not offering this update. Since updates are now via ESR, is it safe to assume that I have to actually download this version and install it over my current version?
