Lenovo X280 Laptop Thunderbolt Software

Hello,

I have just acquired a Lenovo X280 Laptop
All appears to be fine except "1" query.

There is a Program/Service running called "Thunderbolt"
I understand what Thunderbolt is...
I do not have any Thunderbolt Devices/Peripherals

Can I safely uninstall the "Thunderbolt" Software
I just want to clean out any unnecessary programs running

The Laptop Charges via the USB C Port.

Then why would you remove this?
If you decide to go through with this, let us know the list of errors you get after doing so, tell us if fast charging still works or for that matter any ports on your Lenovo.
I am interested.

I hope you have a system backup. May or may not come in handy (y)

However, the USB-C port of some (all?) models supports video. That suggests a relation to Thunderbolt, not that I understand such matters.

I'd leave the service alone. Especially if it isn't consuming CPU cycles.

For my portable use case I have no need for:
Corporate/Domain Services
Remote Desktop Services
MS Monitoring/Diagnostic Services
Print/Geolocation/Biometric Services
and others

I want the "leanest" system possible before I add my Programs
At Bootup out of the Box CPU mid/high 26~28%, Memory was High 35~38%
Now it's around CPU 2~3%, Memory @ Low 20%'s
