Lexar NM790 hard drive compatibility issue and 0x00040049 error

Hi, I have installed new hard disk (Lexar 4TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe NM790 on HP 250 G7 laptop). Unfortunately, I have hit three times system crash with information "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. BugCheckProgress was: 0x00040049" in the event viewer. I have done basic hardware diagnostics on HP UEFI tool for RAM, hard disk and motherboard and no issues were found. I have found this topic (Lexar NM790 4TB SSD keeps crashing my fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04) that explains how to fix this problem for Linux Ubuntu. Could you, please, help me by giving some guideline how to fix the same problem on Windows 11? Thank you!

The drive could be faulty, but if that laptop is the one with gen8 cpu I would lean toward it being a motherboard limitation. I seriously doubt that the motherboard of a 2018 laptop would accept a 4tb nvme drive.. There are limitations to what motherboards will accept. I have a 10th gen Dell PC that won't accept a 4tb nvme drive. My limit is 2tb.

The exact details of the laptop have not been given, but Crucial offers a 4TB NVME M.2 drive for it.

The computer appears to be Windows 10 Home, possibly updated to Windows 11: Amazon.com

Not the right time to update to this version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2033)

Thank you for your answers. When I had old disk (around 500 GiB), Windows 10 Pro prompted me to update to Windows 11. But instead, I have replaced my hard disk with 4 TiB and installed fresh Windows 11 Pro (bought from Microsoft website). This hard disk was recommended to me by the company that sold me the laptop itself, based on this thread (Re: Max capacity of hard disk for 150B5EA)
