Win 11 Pro
version 25H2
I've been in love with the G900 for several years. It has enough programmable keys, is small and relatively flat for my small hand AND it has a hyperscroll or free scroll wheel! That was the story for 4+ years with Windows 10 Pro. I've bought them up whenever I could find one and have a small stash. The small size with a free scrolling wheel that works is hard to find.
Recently my new Windows 11 Pro with AMD Ryzen cpu entered my life. And G900 mouse reliability left. When I couldn't get the onboard programming of a new G900 to stick, research led me to turning on onboard memory using G Hub and then moving to Onboard Memory Manager to program. But...the onboard memory is present and available when the mouse is plugged into a usb port to charge. The memory leaves within 10 minutes of being used wirelessly. Plug it back into usb charging and the memory returns. I've tried many things:
I tried using Logitech Options Plus but it would not run and told me I needed to use G Hub. I've tried placing the receiver in a different usb connection and also bringing it closer to the mouse. I uninstalled all Logi software with Revo and reinstalled fresh copies of Ghub and OMM. There is only one mouse listed under device manager and I am not using any other Logitech products. The battery is almost fully charged as reported by Logi software. I've read too many posts about how Logitech software is terrible and they don't fix it. etc etc I tried this mouse on a Windows 10 machine and it works fine!
I have a nagging feeling that the basic settings such as turning on onboard memory in Ghub are not being saved. I've looked all over for a "save" button, a ,menu that would offer save or some way to make sure the settings around keeping onboard memory "alive" are not activated. Can't however find the solution, nor verificaqtion that it's true.
Suggestions and wild guesses gratefully appreciated.
