Guys im looking Office 2024 and have seen it advertised a lot online from £12 to £125 so where is the best place to buy it?
Well simply, if you want a 100% guaranteed legitimate version with guaranteed MS support, buy it from MS.
If you buy it elsewhere cheaper, you run a risk the version is not legitimate and MS could block it.
The old adage applies - "if it looks to good to be true, then it probably isn't true".
If it is really cheap - good chance of a scam, if it is mid price (say 50%) it is more likely to be ok but no guarantee.
To paraphrase Dirty Harry "Do you feel lucky punk? Did I use 5 bullets or 6?".
In the end, Caveat Emptor (Let the Buyer Beware) applies.
People may tell you site A is legit but these sites often sell a key several times, working on basis MS often does not strictly check licence keys.
So just because it worked for someone else, does not mean it will for you.
The important point is be prepared to lose your money if things go pearshaped?
In the end, you are buying a top of the line package that will keep you in good stead for many years - is it really worth compromising on the MS cost which is not that high.
If cost is truly an issue, there good quality alternatives like LibreOffice but if you intend to use Office for business use where full compatibilty needs to be guaranteed, then this is not a great idea.
Also
NEVER give you bank or card details to any such sites if you go down that route - use paypal or similar.
I actually use a pay and go debit card not linked to any of my accounts - It works like the old style pay and go mobile phone topup sims.
I just add money to it on an as needs basis (keeping balance below £100 or thereabouts). Worst case scenario in a scam is I lose only that amount.
I only use my main debit card on sites I am 100% certain about e.g. Supermarkets, Amazon etc.)
