Basically the title...

I discovered this after I restored a backup from a bad driver update. I had system slowdowns because my C partition was misaligned... my surprise was worse afterwards, I found every system partition I restored was misaligned and I had to manually recreate the EFI and the Recovery partitions, a pain in the butt... (Fortunately C was easy to align again)

What is going on? I see no options anymore to choose alignment type, it's just this XP type alignment checkbox force-enabled. My disk is GPT.

Is it time to switch to another software? Is there a way I can make the program restore things aligned as they should?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide to me.

Cheers!

If you changed partitions in some way since last backup, then MRX will restore as per restore and this can change partition layouts.

If not, something else is going on. ask

As you have MRX, send a ticket to Paramount (MRX Team) to investigate.
