Main monitor keeps turning off and on

I have a Dell Inspiration 3891 desktop with 3 monitors.
Sometimes the main monitor (HP 2511x) keeps turning off than back on.
The other 2 monitors never turn off like the main monitor does.

It wasn't a multi-monitor situation but just yesterday the monitor didn't display the desktop but the green power light was flashing. I'd had the computer on my workbench so knew the video was okay, turned out the data cable on the monitor itself had to be reseated.

When you say turning off do you mean it actually loses power or do you mean it goes to sleep? Check control panel>power options>choose when to turn off the display. Change it to never See if that makes a difference.

Swap out the main monitor with one of the other ones to test. Eliminate the possibility of it being a bad monitor, cable, or graphics port.

The power button is off like there is no power.
I do not have the monitor going to sleep, it stays on all the time.
The Power Button Lockout is on (never changed it).
Since the Power Button Lockout is on < i have not had any more problems with the monitor.
