Hi folks
Has anybody tried one of these yet. I don't need the fastest phone on the planet but having a Matte screen with optional e-ink type of e-reader display too so that it's 100% readable in bright light outside and also has a separate SD card slot (pity the expensive brands dropped removable SD card slots) is a brilliant idea again.
Cost around €300 with some import tax which depending on jurisdiction you might not have to pay or only a minimal amount.
Cost of a new Samsung Ultra S25 -- around €1400 -- !! so this Chinese thing looks highly capable.
Anybody tried it yet. Don't compare speed of course with the latest snapdragon processors in the Samsungs etc but who needs that stuff most of the time.
I have absolutely NO issues with buying decently made Chinese goods either. Pretty well anything I've ever bought from China has worked perfectly !! - and if it's politics - most countries have / do things the ordinary people don't know about or want to know about either.
My last purchase from China was some B22->E27 and E27->B22 lelectric light bulb adapters -- those are UK bayonet top continental Screw type and vice versa. Cost for 5 of each €10 -- try getting those in made the UK or anywhere in Europe !!!!!. I needed the converters because while working in the UK I got some nice light stands from IKEA but of course all had the continental screw type bulb fitting !!!.
Cheers
