Microsoft .NET Framework Preview Update 2026.05 (KB5092427)

Noticed under Windows Update (optional updates) that the above is available.

I don't know anything about it, other than it's been available since May 26th. I wasn't around for a while, so this is the first I've seen of it.


What do other people think ? Has anyone else gone ahead and installed it ?


Any known issues with it, or am I just better waiting until the next round of Patch Tuesday updates (July 14th) ?

No need to bother with the Previews as the real one comes along a few weeks later. I have that one just sitting there.

Occasionally a Preview may auto-install, presumably when MS uses you as a test subject.
