I need some help here, I have a new computer and found the Microsoft store app is installed but I have no shortcut to it and the other problem is Nvidia, the control panel only shows 3D options and the GeForce experience is missing altogether along with the icon in the notification area. Any help would be greatfully recieved. Thanks

When Windows 11 is installed the Microsoft Store app should be pinned in the Start Menu.

When the NVIDIA driver is installed the NVIDIA Control Panel and the NVIDIA GeForce Experience are installed by default.

If you double-click the NVIDIA icon in the tray the NVIDIA GeForce Experience app will be launched.

However, if you right-click on the NVIDIA icon in the tray you will be given the option to launch either the NVIDIA Control Panel app or the NVIDIA GeForce Experience app.

I don't use that menu, I use ClassicShell, thanks for the info but when I updated the GeForce driver it was back on the taskbar, however, the nvidia control panel does not show all the options like the one on the other pc

thanks, came back with update but the control panel still shows less options than the old one

yes, it sorted with an update but the control panel still won't show as many options like adjust desktop size and position, display options etc

I have CP v 8.1.964.0
Try uninstalling it again and rebooting. Re-installing again from MS store. That's all I can think of.

I don't know what to say about Nvidia Control Panel. I only occasionally used it in the past and not at all now. I don't have a need to use it. What specifically do want to do with the Nvidia Control Panel that you can't do anywhere else?

You mean OpenShell don't you? That is because ClassicShell is obsolete and has been superseded by OpenShell.

You should have started with how do I create a shortcut to the Microsoft store app if I have ClassicShell/OpenShell?

No matter. I installed OpenShell on my old laptop with Windows 10 to see how to do that. It turned out it wasn't hard at all to do what you wanted. Note I configured OpenShell with the Window 7 look. Here is how I created a shortcut to the Microsoft Store.

1. In Search box type store
2. In list created for Programs locate Microsoft Store
3. Right-click on Microsoft Store and select desired option
4. In example, I selected Create shortcut

I still use ClassicShell, when OpenShell first came out it was not as good so I stayed with the old version, which has worked fine over the years through many OS
The shortcut has nothing to do with it, it was just not there, so I couldn't create a shortut to it but allsorted now.
I need to change some screen res and then the various display options e.g. full screen, width only or height only. there is not enough options in win11
