Solved Mouse scroll number of lines problem

Per your tutorial, I have set this to 1 line via Mouse Wheel Scroll Speed in Settings, via Change Mouse Wheel Control Speed in Control Panel, and via Mouse Wheel Control Speed in Regedit. And, yes, I have restarted multiple times...both restart and shut down/restart. And I changed my bluetooth Windown mouse batteries.

My mouse wheel still scrolls 3-4 lines per click.

Any advice will be appreciated...I proofread for a living and I need to get back to the one-line per click a had a week ago.
(No, I've no idea what changed in the last week...no major updates I'm aware of.)

Thanks,
Robbie K

My mouse wheel still scrolls 3-4 lines per click.
I'm confused. When you're using the scroll wheel, you don't CLICK to scroll, you TURN the wheel. Don't press the wheel down into the mouse; just roll it gently forward or back.

I understand your frustration. I was a professional editor for about fifteen years, and my mouse was an extension of my arm.

Are you sure you're using this screen, and setting it to 1?

1. Yes, I am sure I'm using that screen...at least 3 different times followed by restarts, etc.
2. Sorry, when I roll my mouse wheel, it "clicks", thus my confusing description.
Thanks,

Aha! Please try clicking that wheel β€” once down into the mouse β€” while you’re in a document. Most mice today switch modes. then try scrolling.

Mine does the same . If I set it to scroll (click) for 3 lines at a time, it will do exactly that.
Which mouse are we talking about and does that mouse come with it's own app?

Do you have a mouse that is capable of 'Free Spin'?
Edwin, I do not. I have a Microsoft USB Dual REceiver Wireless Mouse (and Keyboard).

No joy. :(
My mouse info is as follows:

Driver update says this is the most recent driver.
There are two events as follows. I've no clue what they mean.

This mouse worked perfectly last week...that's the most frustrating thing. None of my mouse settings have changed, only the behavior. That's why I tried changing the batteries in the mouse. I'm baffled.

Solved...at least for a while.
I reinstalled the driver to defaults and my settings reverted to normal...that is, one line at a time.
Thanks for your help...it allowed me to rethink the problem from some other perspectives! :)
