Solved MP3 Odd behaviour

I have an innioasis G5 media player.....I have an album called Slow on my laptop, with approx 500 mp3 tracks. I have set all album artist to Various to ensure that the Slow album is correctly displayed as a single album. Unfortunately the Slow album is being split into 3 albums, one called test, one called JAK slow, and the third is the Correct slow album....
the test album has only 1 track
the JAK album has 30 tracks
the Slow album has the remaining slow tracks
all 3 albums have the Slow album cover artwork.

the album name test exists on a different album, the JAK album was an album name used previously but no longer exists.

i have tried mp3tag and tagscanner appz, to see if there is any odd metadata, but so far no luck.

perhaps therer is a way to copy all the metadata from a track that is ok and in the correct place to the other tracks, the only ones i need are artist / title / album artist / genre and year

any thoughts please

• Do all the items/tracks reside in actual folders on the device?
• Are you able to view the hierarchy of the storage on the device?

I think I mentioned to you previously, that my Android music app would lump all Greatest Hits folder sub-titles into a Library folder of it's own entitled Various, regardless of the pre-title..., examples: Starship Greatest Hits, Steely Dan Greatest Hits, Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits..., all separate folders on my phone but Musicolet would lump them all into it's own generated folder called Various, just based on the words Greatest Hits!!!
It had nothing to do with any metadata, just the manner in which Musicolet was interpreting the folders on my device!

UPDATE
It wasn't for the reason you had

I fixed the issue, I removed all Metadata using foobar2000, then recreated the album art work album name etc. using MP3TAG, so the issue must have been due to erroneous data in the Metadata.
Thought be good to post, in case someone else has the same issue.
