My renewal for MS 365 will be coming up soon. I want the MS 365 but don't want to pay for the AI option. I can't see paying the $129.00 for options I'm not going to use when the $99.00 plan does all I need. I've looked and can't see any way to go back to the $99.00 plan. Anyone know if the $99.00 plan is still available and if it is how to switch back to it?

Money talks, cancel the subscription and say why, even temporarily, MS will reevaluate, if a noticeable number of users do that.

I think it's still available but subscribers have to downgrade from the AI version to the basic version. I just need the basic family plan. I need the family plan because I share my subscription with my son.

When I started with the Office subscription it was $69. Then it went to $99 and now up to $129!!!! Mine renews in a few weeks, I cancelled. Too expensive for me.

Also used Quicken for years, at $49.95. Then it went up to $69, and now they want $99. I cancelled. I'm now looking for other subscriptions to cancel lol

Been paying for MS Office 365 since 2017, when bought my Gaming Laptop originally paid for 5 years. After 5 years ran out, paid ahead 3 more years, not due for renewal til Christmas 2026, but I'll extend that when tax refund comes longer.

As I use Ms Outlook daily, Word, Onedrive, Excel at times as well.

    I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.
I purchased Family subscription on Woot for $89. Then I went into Microsoft 365 to remove the auto update that had been used previously other years. Microsoft offered an automatic two free months added to subscription length which I accepted. Then I applied the Woot subscription that added 1 year. Thus got 14 months for $89.

Did you have any problem with your OneDrive storage? If you shared your MS 365 subscription did you have to re-share it? I don't want to lose any of my files and/or cause my son to lose anything.

Quicken. Doesn't anyone install Quicken 2013 if all you do is maintain a personal budget? Last Quicken freeware before it became subscription.

I have the standalone Microsoft Office Professional LTSC. Don't see myself paying to keep Office updated. My needs are simple.

Last year when I saw the $129 price increase, I looked at my options and there was the old $99 Classic price. I opted to stay with the old price and when it recently renewed it stayed at $99.

We subscribe to Microsoft 365 Family not only to have all of Office always up to date, but because the subscription also includes a Terabyte of OneDrive for each of us. For us it's a superb bargain.

I bought originally thru Bestbuy when purchased my NEW Laptop in 2017 for 5 years, when it ran out continued renewing it.

Not sure if Bestbuy would have the option for $99 for Family Plan or not, i guess i can check it out further when i'm ready to renew when Tax Return Comes back with funds to do the Renewal, as i'd hate to cancel Now and lose all my Onedrive Files

I've always opted to keep all my files local as well as in cloud OneDrive. My files are mirrored real-time on both System One and System Two and are safe no matter what happens.

I used the banking on it, along with CC companies. I liked the live connections and current balances. I don't think that works with freeware? So now I just don't track it. I'll check the accounts online from time to time, but I know what's coming in and what's going out because they're not too much lol

If that option is still available it must be well hidden. When I click on change plans the only options listed is yearly or monthly.

For those that buy MS 365 through another source. When you renew; is it as easy as just clicking on Redeem a code or prepaid card? If it is I'll go that route.

I found out this morning that going back to the $99.99 plan was easy. I went to my MS account and chose the cancel MS 365 option. Scrolling down the page I saw the option to switch back to the $99.99 plan. Now on January the 12th I will only be charged $99.99 plus tax.
