MS Office - restart required ... every instance

Every time I open an MS Office application, there is a message in the header about changing my privacy settings and that a Restart is Required. I signed in to my MS Account and couldn't find a solution there. I have Office Pro Plus 2019. I only use Word and Excel. If I click through, the application operates normally so it isn't a functional issue - just freaking annoying. All the software is licensed etc.

I find various discussions on the web going back years, but no prominent solution.

Ideas anyone?

Is the application up to date? Take a look for updates if it hasn't had any.

try File > Account > Manage Settings > uncheck any box(es), restart all office programs. then repeat process and recheck the boxes (if you want to). then restart all office programs. see if the message persists.

At Manage Settings my only option is a popup >>> Restart Required

I can follow the breadcrumbs all the way to my MS account but again, it doesn't solve anything, I'm just logged in with the same error

if you want any of those features you can reenable them and restart again. should fix it

Kiwiaz, you don't state how you fixed it.
I had the same problem. When going to File > Account , I noticed it had my work microsoft login, not my personal microsoft login. I never use the home computer for work, but somehow it latched on to that.
Choosing "switch account" and choosing my personal microsoft ID fixed it.

I don't recall exactly. Vague recollection that there was an update that fixed it. The problem has not resurfaced.
