However I tried connecting my ethernet cable to the port on my Gigabyte motherboard and the Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V and it does work after failing to connect with my Killer E2500 Gigabit Ethernet Controller.

It shows connected in the Advanced Network Setting but the System Tray Icon says not connected with the Killer E2500

This is the 2nd time I have installed 24H2 and same thing happened with the Killer E2500. I cannot find any updated drivers anywhere.

I rolled back to 23H2 and the problem disappeared , connection is fine with the E2500 Gigabit Ethernet Controller.

I have reset my Network "Advanced Network Settings" this didn't help , also uninstalled the device from Device Manager and then added via "Scan for Hardware Changes. This doesn't work either.
It says it is enabled in Advanced Network Settings -see photo attached..
Restarted my computer., no good either.

you opened a new thread about your same topic....

while on 23h2, disable driver updates via windows updates

reboot. re-upgrade to 24h2. driver wont be touched.

I have upgraded to 24H2 now. Your instructions do not make sense. How am I supposed to know this? Really you think everyone has the same level of knowledge and what to look for as you? Are you even sure this is the issue?

I have no idea about "your same topic" The link you gave is not my topic. Someone is supposed to know this relates to my exact problem?
You are not being very helpful. Your advice is moot because I have already upgraded to 24H2. I am trying to figure out how to get the Killer E2500 working.
My driver is from 2015. see attached screenshot

The driver pre-dates 24H2 as well so how can this be an updated driver from merely installing 24H2 ? Below is the link to the driver on the MS Update Catalog.

I rolled back to 23H2 and the problem disappeared
1) this was at the bottom of your post, which would indicate that you rolled back to and are currently on 23H2.

2) yes you already opened a thread about this issue and had multiple people helping you.
> How Do I Get Around This Issue to Install 24H2?

3) the thread I linked is how to disable driver updates.

4) Thus… if it works on 23H2, that was my advice. If you are still on 24H2, go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > Right Click on your NIC > Properties > Driver > Rollback Driver

No clue how you wound up with an older driver post upgrade.
Go to Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick > see what all populates in the list there. Post a screenshot of that.

That was for the TPM and Secure Boot and CPU issues to upgrade 24H2 mate. I couldn't get it to work after check the upgrade compatibilty says I didn't have TPM 2.00 and my CPU wasn't compatible. But I have managed to work through that with the help of others using the batch file.
Yes I posted at the end of the thread but it wasn't very visible to anyone so I decided to make a new thread and give more inforamtion for people to help me. I didn't want to confuse the two issues which are separate.

I did state very clearly in the topic heading I was on 24H2 and also in the body
This is the 2nd time I have installed 24H2 and same thing happened with the Killer E2500

Yes I rolled back to 23H2 and there was no problem with the connection, now I have tried again just to see if I would come across the same issue as I forgot to Pause my AV Kaspersky and I thought this may have affected the upgrade.

4) Thus… if it works on 23H2, that was my advice. If you are still on 24H2, go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > Right Click on your NIC > Properties > Driver > Rollback Driver

This option is greyed out "Rollback Driver"

Go to Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick > see what all populates in the list there. Post a screenshot of that.

Uncheck that box and click on intel (it’ll populate in the left pane). Is there a 2500 driver that does not have the Killer label? Or a ‘family’ driver?

You mean "show compatible hardware" ? OK I have unchecked that . There is a "Killer Gigabit Ethernet Controller" Listed there under "Realtek"

The “show compatible hardware” in your screenshot. Uncheck that and you’ll see a list of manufacturers and available drivers for each. Is there a 2500 driver that does not have the Killer label? Or a ‘family’ driver?

Look through that list. There should be an E series family driver (one that doesn’t have a specific model number listed with it)

This is what I see under "Rivet Networks" which is the same manufacturer as mine.

ok just installed the realtek drivers on my system to grab a screenshot. this should be the family driver for yours (what i meant by no model number following it)

i was basing that on the video you supplied... so Rivet is yours? thats Intel

"10.72.524.2024 (Windows 10), 1168.20.729.2024 (Windows 11) for Intel® Killer™ E2500v2, E2600"
from that DL. should contain the right drivers for you
