My screen saver is turning off all the time

Does anyone know why my screen saver is turning off all the time? I mean that's what the stupid energy recommendations screen says despite having a screen saver set with a timeout of 5 minutes.
I have just noticed it just never starts which sucks. I had my monitor burning the desktop in for like ten hours, ffs...

Noone knows?
It seems like despite having a screen saver set, the energy recommendations page is somehow disabling it by other means automatically.

This damn thing keeps coming up without any changes to settings and it's doing my head in.
