I will give you exact details as I know them about the pc and router and why I am asking here. Please read carefully before replying with questions.
I gave my daughter, who has never used a pc before, an old HP laptop (win 10 or 11) which I reset to factory default over a year ago. I gave her printed instructions for creating a local user account. Finally after all this time she has gotten internet service. I intend to unplug the router during the process to prevent any attempt by Windows to establish a connection. I wish to provide her with a beginner's level tutorial. The subject of the tutorial is how to establish a wireless connection between the pc and the router.
I will have to travel over 100 miles tomorrow morning to assist her with the process. Therefore, a speedy response would of great benefit to me.
Thank you in advance for helpful replies.

caffeine
