Hi, perhaps you're thinking of SHIFT delete: using the Shift + Delete keyboard shortcut in Windows immediately and permanently deletes selected files or folders, completely bypassing the Recycle Bin.

Hello mate, :alien:

If you like, you could add the Empty folder context menu below to help make it easier to permanently delete the folder's file contents on demand that will not go to the Recycle Bin.

Unfortunately that doesn't help, hoped for a registry hack to disable for a particular folder...

Thank you

You would have to have that particular folder residing in it's own Drive, as 'Don't move files to the Recycle Bin' is handled at the Drive level, not folders level.

Either that or, get a Shredder App...

I can have it in its own drive that's easy, but that drive doesn't show in recycle bin properties, is there a way of adding the drive here to select the dint go to recycle bin option.

Or can I simply 'blanket' disable the pop up window asking if I want to move the file to the recycle bin, that would be easier

Thanks

Post 3 is about emptying and entire folder isn't ☹️ not individual files, or did I misunderstand it 🤔

Command prompt doesn't send files to the Recycle Bin, so you could add a right-click item for any file to delete without the bin, although that's not exactly what you asked for and it's more dangerous.

Perhaps you should partition a portion of a disk and use it only for this special purpose.

I have created a partition of a disk to use it only for this purpose, but if doesn't appear in recycle bin properties. just noticed that the confirm delete to recycle bin option in recycle bin properties is greyed out, how can i re enamble this option

Also i have an sd card and still get the delete confirmation dialogue box, thought this wasnt meant to happen for usb pens & sd cards
