Netflix adds spatial audio support

Doing a quick google search I have to ask if that only work with headphones? My TV has a Bose soundbar 300 hooked up. Would I notice a difference in the sound?

Are you using Netflix on your computer as an app or just from the tv app?

Find Netflix cannot reproduce good sound as much as my computers smplayer. On a smaller sound system with the tv app it may help a tad but testing would be the definitive answer.

I watch Netflix on my computer using a browser and my Bluetooth headphones. On my TVs I use the app on my Roku boxes.

You might see a small improvement but honestly the browser for Netflix watching is horrible. I even wish the Netflix app for windows was better but you get what you get hey

Why do you think using a browser to watch Netflix is horrible? I watch Netflix using a browser in full screen mode on my second monitor and I haven't noticed any problems.

While pretty much every popular internet browser is capable of streaming Netflix content in HD, just how HD it is will vary between browsers. Here’s a simple look at what maximum resolution each browser is capable of on a computer:

Google Chrome: Up to 720p (although you can get 1080p using Chrome OS, like on a Chromebook)

Firefox: Up to 720p

Opera: Up to 720p

Safari: Up to 4K (requires a select 2018 Mac or later with an Apple T2 Security Chip and MacOS 11.0 Big Sur or later)

Microsoft Edge: Up to 4K (requires HDCP 2.2-compliant connection to a 4K display, with at least Intel’s 7th-generatio Core CPU, plus the latest version of Windows)

I never watched anything in HD . My Netflix viewing is mostly old TV shows that weren't filmed in HD.

Ahh I see, then I don't think you will get much bonus from spatial audio on older shows. However if you do try it let me know how it goes
