New Clock app for Windows 11 with Focus Sessions

Hello Windows Insiders! Last week, we began releasing updates for apps that come included as part of Windows 11. The first set of updates included the new Snipping Tool and updates for the Calculator and Mail & Calendar apps. We are continuing this effort today with the release of the new Clock app for Windows 11 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel!

The app update has begun rolling out so if you don’t see it right away, keep checking!

Not only does the new Clock app have new visuals so that it looks beautiful in Windows 11, it also includes a major new feature we’re really excited about: Focus Sessions!

We have heard feedback from customers that staying focused and being productive is really challenging. We feel that too! With hybrid working and learning becoming the norm, focusing on digital health has never been more important, and the new Focus Sessions feature is designed to help.

Here are some things for you to try as you use Focus Sessions to stay focused on the things you want to get done:

Focus Timer: Achieve your goals and get more done with a focus session. Tell us how much time you have, and we’ll set up the rest.

I use Alarms & Clock regularly for daily reminders and have for years. But it already did everything I have any need for. The new version will interest me only if it stops opening the alarm settings every time I click on "Dismiss."

Testing this right now...snooze did exactly what it was supposed to...let's see what dismiss does in 5 mins

UPDATE: Working 100% accurately. Not opening up any weird windows after clicking dismiss.

This is a great app and I love every bit of it. ❤️

...ofc there is still room for improvements, but it's an excellent start...
Really?! I don't see how would this improve my workflow. Do you really need to start this app and press "Start focus sessions" to get you focused?
Maybe you get a endorphin rush when you see the circle filling and the streak number going up..

For me seems like they added unnecessary bloatware and they are ruining the simple alarm app so much that it made me want to uninstall it.

... as much as I concur with the "in the zone - hey, take a break" thing...

I recall when on a contract for a major logistics company and a truck got stuck at a border with the wrong manifest - I got called in to debug and fix the app - debugging lasted most of the night (remember we dealing with a variety of products, currencies, customs duty regulations etc) - last thing I needed then, in my stressed state, was to be told... take a break... LOL

So you are saying it Does not work as a Timer, Alarm, Stopwatch, World Clock and assistant for Focused sessions?

On my computer it does exactly that, and the Android version of this does also exactly what promised.

I use all features of the app on Android and would love to get the Focus Sessions also integrated there as I also use Tasks.
I have very limited use for this new Clock App but I can see how it can be very useful for others. The timer and alarm are the only two features I can see me ever using. There have been times I had to do something at a certain time and got so busy on my computer I almost went past the time to stop.

Yeah I get it...sometimes time really is money and you don't have time to take a break when something standing still costs over $250000/h in revenue losses.

Yeah, no-one is forcing people to use Win 11 or any of it's apps - not sure why people feel so entitled...

I see it listed in Revo Uninstaller Pro. I didn't try it so I don't know if it will uninstall or not.
Yes, it is there in Revo.
It's listed twice for me, and I tried both and it didn't remove it, but the entries are now gone.

Wouldn't Administrative level Power Shell with the following command work?
