December 11 releaseThe following update is available for Surface Pro for Business (11th Edition) running Windows 11, Version 23H2 or greater.
Improvements and fixes:
- Security:
- Addresses potential security issues that may allow escalation of privilege, denial of service, or information disclosure.
- Addresses a fingerprint authentication bypass security vulnerability to prevent spoofing attacks.
- Addresses potential security vulnerabilities related to Intel® Chipset Firmware Advisory INTEL-SA-01280 that may allow escalation of privilege or information disclosure.
- Reliability:
- Resolves an issue where the keyboard stops responding after the device comes out of hibernation.
- Fixes an issue where the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard battery may stop charging while the device is asleep.
- Improves stability by fixing blue screen issues related to using extended monitors.
- Fixes interface issues between the graphics and camera to ensure stable performance.
- Reduces screen flickering that could potentially lead the device to stop responding or restart.
- Resolves an issue where the device may stop responding after customers restart the device from the Surface Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) settings using a pen.
- Addresses an issue that caused devices to lose audio after updates were installed, preventing the use of speakers or headphones.
- Prevents unexpected failures or disruptions of audio streams by improving the stability of the audio system.
- Fixes issues with audio playback, especially during low-power idle states.
- Performance and usability:
- Addresses issues with reduced battery life to improve the user experience.
- Enables audio loopback feature for enhanced streaming and recording.
- Improves wake-up speed by optimizing power management to delay the system’s transition into hibernate mode.
