Hey all,

Currently using a clean windows 11 (latest build)

Its a minor gripe with windows 11, but I was wondering if somebody else noticed this "Issue".

Whenever I, lets say, open a picture in photos with the name "test1.jpg" with the explorer view in the background. Then I see it added to the folder, but it is put automatically at the end even though I have sorted the folder it by for example name or Date modified.

This also happens when I righ click -> new file.

so It looks like this:

test1.jpg

file1

file2

test2.jpg

but it should be

test2.jpg

test1.jpg

file1

file2

I need to re open the folder or refresh my view. I just cleaned install my windows 11

Edit: for clarity, this is my issue.

Go to downloads folder for example. Sort it by date. Then create a new file. Whenever you create a new file after that, it gets put at the end of the list of files instead of the correct place in sorting order. I need to de refesh manually.

No, Its a really small thing:

Go to downloads folder for example. Sort it by date. Then create a new file. Whenever you create a new file after that, it gets put at the end of the list of files instead of the correct place in sorting order. I need to de refesh manually.

I think that is the way it is, mine does the same, I do a refresh and it is correctly sorted also

It has always been like that even on earlier versions of Windows.

Thank you for confirming!
No problem, I found the whole sort by and group by not as good as win10, I had to add a new "choose column" category to sort things they way I wanted, I had trouble with ascending and descending when using other categories. It ended up being trial and error by using filename and descending
