Better dont update to this latest "stable" !
After the update , errors appear when searching for updates............

I have been having that for a month. "Something went wrong Error Code: 30088-27" on lesser versions. It is affecting a lot of people but nothing from MS. No real work-arounds found.

When a new version comes out you might have to uninstall 365 then download he new version to get it right again.

MS are aware of it - just need to await their resolution. See this article.

There are 4 PCs in our household. The 3 with Office365 have updated OK, but the one with Office 2021 has this problem too.

Just a quick update on this.

My wife's PC on Office 2021 had the problem as described. A quick repair did not fix it, but on online repair did. The repair downloaded office and re-installed it, after which it now shows as being 17726.20160 having previously been 20126.

EDIT: However, it still shows the problem even though it is now on the latest version.

btw; uninstalling office and reinstalling is a difficult operation , using a fresh backup is much easier............. ;-)

That's what doing an "online repair" does automatically for you. It simply re-installs whatever is the current version.

Not possible inside Office 21 to update ( error ; 30088-27 ).
Only option ;
cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun
officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17726.20160
Works fine , will see if it works again with next ( August) update...........! :wink:

btw ; nice to know (!) ; we can use this command for getting later updates , but for previous versions also !
So , if your new update is not what you expected , you can use the command for previous version(s) , just change the cmd to the version you want.........:-)
