Hey guys. So I have this issue where I power on or reboot my pc and once I log in, I get nothing but desktop or explorer crashes. This has been happening to me on the latest dev build (25151.1010) and the previous 4 builds. In this state, I am unable to see anything on the desktop and the only way I can resolve the issue is to CTRL-ALT-DEL and open task manager, then CMD.

I managed to get ViveTool installed and tried disabling tabs and the new nav after a few hours of troubleshooting. What I found was that disabling the new Nav panel resolves the issue until my next power cycle. It's at this point the new nav panel re-enables and the crashes from hell start again.

Here is the ViveTool code i am running to disable the nav: vivetool /disable /id:36354489

I've done searching for weeks and have not seen this mentioned anywhere so now I am at desperation on how to either keep this off all of the time or figure out how to actually fix the crashes.

I don't have an answer for your problem. I only have some suggestions you could try. You could check for driver updates, do an in-place repair install or do a clean install.
