Qualcomm Dev Blog:
If you’re using Microsoft Surface devices powered by Snapdragon® X Elite, it’s time for you to download and install our latest upgradeable graphics driver.
Version 31.0.82.0 is a package that enables several new games as well as improving performance and adding fixes in others. On the AI front, it includes Qualcomm Adreno™ GPU performance optimizations for models in Qualcomm AI Hub and and WebNN models in the browser via DirectML.
Improvements for games, AI and creativity apps
Accelerating AI on GPU via DirectML
DirectML, or Direct Machine Learning, is a low-level API developed by Microsoft for running machine learning workloads on DirectX 12-compatible hardware. It provides hardware acceleration for various machine learning tasks, making it ideal for real-time, high-performance, and low-latency applications.DirectML is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing DirectX 12 workflows, allowing developers to incorporate machine learning inferencing into games, engines, middleware, and other applications.
With the latest upgradeable graphics driver release, we have added performance enhancements for Stable Diffusion 1.5 and Qualcomm AI Hub models on the Qualcomm Adreno GPU via DirectML. Developers can also now run models like Stable Diffusion 1.5, Stable Diffusion Turbo, Segment Anything, Whisper, MobileNet, and ResNet directly in their web browser through WebNN.
Creativity apps
Users of creativity titles on devices powered by Snapdragon X Series will enjoy improvements like these:
· Fixes for DaVinci Fusion corruption
· Fix for Adobe After Effects crash
