Download the reg files
Double click on the one you want to use
Agree at every popup
Sometimes you need to sign out then into Windows to see changes.
Try the remove more options first.
If that doesn't work, undo it with the correct reg file
Then try the Add default items “Option Two

As you're looking at the root of an NTFS drive, the only "New" option should be folder. The permissions on the root should only allow you to create folders, not files. So options that require permissions that you don't have don't show. (Although New folder should show with a shield on folders where you don't have permissions such as c:\windows.) Why you should only see the folder option on your desktop isn't obvious. You could check the permissions on your desktop folder to make sure that you have full control.

I checked the security settings on the desktop folder and it looks fine. Seems to match the other user I created. Think I'm going to have to switch over to the other user profile. Hate to do it over such a little thing. Thank you
