OS
Windows 11 Pro + Win11 Canary VM.
The new Teamviewer version is far too complicated now - full of nag screens to upgrade to paid version etc. You need to login, you get blood ads that you cannot turn off unless you buy a licence etc.

The screens are all MS Dev Team level i.e. for 13 years or younger.

The only reason I will keep this pox ridden app is you can connect to samsung android phones, but I will be using Anydesk.exe as my go to tool from now on (and SplashTop)

Fortunately you can revert to legacy screen but you know what will happen - "Yoof Culture" will kill off the original screens sooner or later.

I only understood about half of what you just said, but that's OK. I only understand about half of what I read anyway. :lmao:
I've used Team Viewer for years, mainly to do tune-ups on PC's hundreds or even thousands of miles away. And occasionally to upload Software to a remote PC. If there were problems with it, I can't seem to remember any.
But as the OP I'm going to take your word for it, that there ARE problems, and they are getting worse.

OK, if I'm going to stop using Team Viewer, is there a better (free) program that I can use for taking control of a remote PC and uploading files to it? I don't do that often anymore, but I do like to do it every so often.

A while back, I wanted to share some stuff with a friend in AZ (I'm in FL) and we just could not get together on Team Viewer, so I wound up just putting everything on a DVD, and I mailed it to him. Good ol' USPS came through for us. It just took a week to get there!!! Much longer than a PTP program.

Cheers Mate?
TM
