Please disregard if this is already known.
I have had sound recording problems after installing Windows updates, several times now.
I can get the sound back by going to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Sound, Recording, (Recording Device), Levels.
The Level has been reset by the update to 0. It was set to 100 before the update.
I have to set it to 100 to record sound again in OBS.
Hope this helps someone.
