It is not only your Firefox cache files and other Firefox files that had corruption. Look through the list carefully. Do you have a backup?
Have you run "sfc /scannow" and and "dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth" ?

Well crap, most of those examples of crossed links etc. Were from a chkdsk on a volume snapshot. Are you using restore points and system restore?

There's not much on that drive that's important but I do have a recent backup and I did run SFC and DISM but I dont remember the exact command line options. It made me nervous because Google AI said it was not without risk but nothing bad happened ( 2026-03-10 17:44:53 ). Literally the only app I use on Win-11 on this PC is TurboTax but the files are on another drive.

Actually there's a DISM log and it's VERY LONG and has numerous dates in it but I think the one I ran was yesterday

I'm not using restore points but Windows does on some updates so I think there are two restore points

I just looked and I ran Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

There is no risk in the those commands. They check for corrupt system files by validating their checksum etc and replace any found corrupted.

Definitely did not seem to have any file corruption issues until after the second system crash.

That 6844 times has not changed in a few days but I just replaced the cable so how long would you go before checking that again to decide if it's fixed seeing that I use this drive day and night 24/7. Is there a way to know how old those comm errors are?

All drives pass and I knew they would because I scanned them a few weeks ago and doing long extended scans on SSD is not advisable but I did it on the C: drive anyway. I had previously scanned them with both Seatools and CrystalDiskInfo. When windows crashed it scanned all drives at the next startup. It fixed one item on the C: drive but I cant remember what it was but it was real quick and had a long number.

It's very unusual to have more than one drive problem after scanning them a few weeks ago.

It may have been a power surge / outage.

It's best to retest all drives with the Long generic test.

I'm going to mark this solved and THANKS to all for all the comments. I wrote down the processes in a short text document in case it happens again and I now have all the utilities I need to get a head start on it. I still think it's an issue of using TurboTax and Fairefox at the same time but I wont know for sure unless it happens again but having turned off hardware acceleration in Firefox maybe it wont happen again for a long time.

10) The Windows drive is a failed drive.

It can be used until its terminal event.

It's best to remove it from use but it can be used for temporary storage as long as files on it are backed up and the computer user is able to tolerate continued computer instability.

Based on what test results? That's my one of my newest drives. There's no instability that I've noticed, the BSOD has not happened since I updated the Graphics Driver to a Win-11 driver. It was using a Win-10 driver, when I installed Win-11 the new driver had not come out yet. I did not know there was one till Google AI said there was.
