Solved Notepad won't let me write in the locate box

With a text written in notepad and going to the Edit menu and Find submenu I can't write anything in the text box to locate. I simply type in the text and nothing is written. Has this happened to anyone and if so how did you solve it?
Windows 11 Pro 21H2 OS 22000.527
Thanks in advance.

PS:- Notepad 11.2112.32.0
It's working well for me, I have the same Notepad version and the same build version.

My Computer

Are you using the new notepad? Looks like some are having problems with it. You could try repairing or reset if repair doesn't work.apps> Apps and features>notepad> three dot to the right>advanced settings> repair (and or) reset.
Yes is the new one. I did all the suggested steps and it's still the same, I even changed to the white theme if it wasn't a bug in the dark theme, anyway... I will try to uninstall and install again by the store.
Thanks for the tips.

PS:-
Uninstalled and installed from the windows store and still have the same problem. Hopefully in a next update it will work normally.
Thank you all for the suggested tips.

Productivity, performance, and reliability are paramount in Notepad. Regardless of how you incorporate Notepad into your workflows, we will ensure that Notepad continues to excel in those areas.
- Installed,
- Tested,
- Full of bugs,
- Haven't a clue how to fix it myself,
- Uninstalled...
- NEXT!!!

For goodness sake, don't brag up your product if it doesn't work properly everywhere!
(No, I didn't leave feedback cuz I don't care!!!)

Reading through the post at The New Windows 11 Notepad app shows the "New" Notepad is quite a bit different from the 'classic' version we are familiar with so functions obviously will be different, same as with any other new or changed things.

Works for me. Try Resetting Notepad.

Open Settings > Apps, find Notepad and click on the three dots (menu) on the right.

Select Advanced options, scroll down to find the Reset button. Try Repair first, if that doesn't fix it try Reset.

I uninstalled with Geek as suggested and removed all the residual files, installed from the Windows Store and when launching Notepad it was the same, with no possibility to write in the find words box.
I then decided to repair the windows installation as described here:

and Eureka, the problem was solved. My renewed thanks to everyone who tried to help with their tips. Thank you!!!
