NVIDIA to launch $299 GeForce RTX 5060 on May 19

While this is still unofficial, we can now confirm that NVIDIA will launch the RTX 5060 (non-Ti) on May 19. This date has been confirmed by NVIDIA, which is now working with board partners who have received updated embargo details.

At the same time, board partners are reaching out to reviewers to check if they are interested in testing RTX 5060 graphics cards. Contrary to earlier reports, there appears to be a review embargo as well, which will reportedly lift on the same day the RTX 5060 launches.

This means NVIDIA will once again lift the embargo on reviews and sales on the same day. While demand for the RTX 5060 is not expected to be high, this approach means customers may purchase the card without prior access to independent performance data. In other words, gamers will have to rely on NVIDIA's official benchmarks, unless they want to risk not being able to buy the card at MSRP.

Note Nvidia said "prices for the GeForce RTX 5060 start at $299". This is MSRP. Based upon the prices we see for the RTX 5060 Ti the actual board partner prices for the GeForce RTX 5060 should be more than the MSRP. How much more we will have to wait and see.

Well, I just bought the RTX 4060, and the RTS 5060 isn't enough more performance to justify the investment right now. Truthfully, the stuff I do is handled nicely by my existing board.
